Our Service
OnlineCredentials.com
offers an advanced web-based service to save time and reduce errors managing
credentials at your event.
A customized web form accepts applications. The client back-end provides
a platform to allow you to review those applications and notify applicants
of your approval/denial decisions. It delivers comprehensive reporting
for your files, your security staff, and your badge printer.
All elements of the service – including branding, colors, web forms
and emails to applicants, vendors and guests – are totally customized
for your event.
OnlineCredentials.com is offering this third-generation service after
more than $300,000 invested in development. This system has been fully
tested for data integrity, reliability and ease of use at more than 100
events. It offers more power, more flexibility, at less cost than any
in-house option.
It’s the only complete solution that can take you and your media,
staff and guests all the way from application to event arrival.

Media reps apply for
credentials using an online form specifically designed for your event.
Your staff accesses an administrative web site to review applications.
Your approval automatically triggers an email to the applicant. The included
reporting package lets you to generate Microsoft Excel files for creating
labels or producing lists based on criteria you determine, such as accommodations
or equipment needs.
OnlineCredentials.com
keeps your event control on your desktop.
- It does not change
any management or approval responsibilities: You still review and approve
all applications.
- It does not conflict
with paper elements required by some events (assignment letters, signed
agreements, sign-in sheets). The service helps track paper-based forms
or authorizations associated with each application.
OnlineCredentials.com
offers you these key benefits:
-
Reduce costs and boost productivity.
Eliminate manual transcription
of applications, printing and postage costs. Speed responses to applicants
with automatically generated personalized emails.
-
Increase your control:
Put event information at your fingertips, with real-time access to all applications
and secure online processing. Oversee and more effectively control limited
resources (parking, media center seats, radio booths, etc.). Use the
report wizard to easily create labels and generate customized reports
on any data collected.
-
Ensure credential integrity
with secure online systems and validation rules that help prevent incorrect or
incomplete applications.
-
Increase flexibility and efficiency
by enabling collaboration among
staff, and processing and reporting by off-site staffers. Use any web-accessible
computer to access and work with the applications.
-
Enhance communications
with all or any subset of applicants –
send specialized notices just to those who need them.
-
Facilitate integration
with your credential printer and event-site security team.
-
Keep your event current
with expectations and operational improvements
adopted by major national events. This technology is now used by PGA
Tour events, NASCAR races, and major events throughout the NFL, MLB,
NBA and all other major leagues.
PressPass
at the 2005 US Open
All media requesting
a credential to cover the 2005 US Open apply via an online form in the
PressPass system. Some applications came from individual reporters and some
are submitted by a department administrator on behalf of many journalists,
photographers, technicians and support personnel. Here’s how it
works:
• Journalists with prior-year credentials have only to click a few buttons
to copy their prior application to this year. New applicants have to fill in
an extensive online form to apply for a US Open media credential.
• The USTA staff reviews these applications according to their own
timetable and policies -- the USTA controls approvals 100%.
• After each journalist's application is reviewed, PressPass
automatically generates an email to that person with the appropriate
notification. Approval emails contained a link to documents with
supplementary information about hotels, media ticket forms, media
event schedules and other pre-event information.
• In the weeks before the start of the Open, data will be exported
to Ticketmaster, which provides the actual badges and the on-site
access-control bar-code readers and other hardware used.
• USTA staffers can easily generate reports to review and manage
resource allocation like the number of seats in the media workroom
and the number of parking passes and meal tickets approved.

"The PressPass system proved to be a valuable resource for
Mazda Raceway Laguna Seca, allowing us to spend more time promoting
our events and less time doing administrative work on media credentials."
Ed Nicholls
Mazda Raceway Laguna Seca
"This is our first season using Sports Systems' credential
system and it is working out great. It is a real time saver and
ensures that all the credential information is inputted correctly
because the person applying is the one inputting the info. The best
part is the lists it allows you to export. It keeps everything very
organized and gives you records of everything. When we hosted Illinois,
we had more than 200 credential requests and I didn't have a single
problem, thanks mostly to the online credentialing system. It allowed
me to know my numbers, who I would have space for and then assign
those people accordingly. I hate to think what a mess it could have
been without the Sports Systems site."

a little nervous at first. But the support I got from Brian and
Sports Systems was phenomenal. Any questions I had were answered
promptly and in a way that I could fully understand. The system
is great, the support is great, and the time that was saved was
incredibly beneficial to me."

arrival for Bowl Week, Press Pass was a lifesaver. The system is
efficient and easy to use on the front side and the back end databasing

in half. Couple this with their unparalleled customer service and
